Angie's journey from her hometown of Seattle, Washington, to her current home in Christchurch, New Zealand, was prompted by a season of Antarctic research in 2011. Enamoured by Aotearoa's stunning landscapes and rich geological diversity after travelling around the country, she decided to make Christchurch her permanent base after completing her bachelors of science degree in geological sciences.
Angie has played a pivotal role in the RESS Joint Venture since joining the then-pilot programme in 2020. With a keen eye for market trends and data analysis, she has leveraged her comprehensive knowledge of the service and strong professional relationships with stakeholders to build RESS into the patient-centric, robust programme it is today.
Angie is known for her "open door" policy, offering guidance and support while also championing innovation and collaboration amongst the team to achieve efficient contract management.
Outside of work, she thrives in the outdoors, indulging in activities like hiking and mountain biking that fuel her sense of adventure. Her enthusiasm for learning extends to her personal life, where she embraces challenging DIY projects with her trademark "DIY Disaster" spirit, enjoying both the process and the outcome.
Sharon is a Dunedin-trained physiotherapist with a masters degree from Curtain University in Perth, Australia, as well as a postgraduate certificate in vocational rehabilitation.
Returning to New Zealand after 12 years abroad, Sharon increased her exposure to vocational rehabilitation, work site assessments and return to work planning. She previously managed an allied health team delivering services across a number of ACC funded contracts and is now the Clinical Director at RESS.
In her free time, Sharon enjoys mountain biking, practicing tai-chi, and walking on the hills with her husband and dogs.
Alastair and his family - his wife and three children - emigrated to New Zealand over 26 years ago from South Africa and have called it home since. A qualified chartered accountant with a career spanning 40 years, Alastair has worked in senior finance roles across many industries including chemicals, water, explosives, plastics, construction, electronics and, most recently, health.
He retired from full-time employment when he stepped down from being the CFO of CityCare in 2022. In his own words, he has been "keeping out of mischief and keeping the old brain cells ticking over" by taking on various part-time roles which he thoroughly enjoys.
A doting grandfather, Alastair is very family-oriented and spends his weekends enjoying various walks around the lovely countryside, as well as on Church activities. His hobbies include reading and collecting WW2 memorabilia.
Sonya completed a bachelor’s degree in physical education and physiotherapy at Otago University. This was followed with postgraduate qualifications in occupational health and sports medicine, as well as a Masters in Physiotherapy.
With over 25 years' experience in clinical physiotherapy, high performance sport and vocational rehab, she is now our Operational and Clinical team advisor for RESS.
In her free time, Sonya enjoys Pilates, exploring the outdoors, cooking & reading.
Originally from North Canterbury, Megan has recently returned after living in Central Otago for many years. With an extensive and varied career in Finance and Administration working in NZ and overseas she has joined the RESS Finance team.
In her spare time, she enjoys taking time with family and friends rediscovering Christchurch.
Christchurch born and bred, Jordyn has a strong background Human Resource/Payroll Administration previously before joining the RESS team.
In her spare time, she enjoys watching sport, sampling every restaurant she possibly can, frequenting the gym, travelling, and socializing with friends and family.
Emma is a Canadian physiotherapist and is the new clinical lead for the Patella Pathway. She has a Bachelor of Kinesiology (BKin) and Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT).
In addition to RESS, Emma works in private practice treating patients with an array of injuries and has worked with sports teams. She has experienced first-hand the challenges of recovering from knee injuries with a sporting background in Alpine Ski Racing, precipitating her interest in managing lower limb injuries.
Emma’s hobbies include mountain biking, skiing and surfing.
Rykie is a musculoskeletal trained physiotherapist, with experience in sport, general orthopaedic, and post-operative rehabilitation. She has a Master's degree in Sport Physiotherapy and Exercise and is currently a Clinical Advisor for RESS.
In her free time, she enjoys running, hockey, swimming, and spending time with her two children and husband.
Kelly is a physiotherapist from Ireland who specialises in sports medicine. She has a focus on lower limb injuries, particularly those involving the knee.
She completed her bachelor's of science in physiotherapy and master's degree in sport and exercise medicine at the University of Ulster, where she acquired extensive knowledge on rehabilitation and injury prevention.
Kelly splits her time between RESS and a private physiotherapy clinic, offering clinical advice in addition to helping athletes recover and excel.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Kelly is passionate about Gaelic football and camogie.
Kate comes from the Bay of Plenty, moving to Christchurch in 2022 after a brief stint in America. Kate has a background working within ACC for over 14 years.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and two dogs. With her love for good food, Kate can be found eating her way around the many amazing restaurants in Christchurch.
Sian is from Whangamata. He enjoys long-distance running and has completed several marathons. He spends a lot of time outdoors with his highly energetic dog.
Sian is currently studying a master's degree in social work and has worked for various government agencies supporting clients.
Moana, originally from Methven, has a background in contract administration for previous healthcare organizations.
On weekends, Moana enjoys cheering on her children at sports events, discovering the countryside, and spending quality time with friends and family.
Born and raised in the UK, Laura has called NZ home for 12 years. She is a registered Sport and Exercise Scientist and currently studying for a Postgraduate Diploma in Sport, Exercise and Health Science. Laura has always enjoyed getting people back to their best life through rehabilitation and exercise therapy.
When not at work, Laura enjoys kickboxing, hiking, biking and hanging out with her two (demanding!) cats.
Originally from Christchurch, Te Taonga (known as Tee) spent 15 years living and studying on the West Coast and in Western Australia on Christmas Island.
With a background in mental health, Te Taonga has devoted her career to supporting others, collaborating with various mental health organizations and charities across the South Island.
In her spare time, Te Taonga enjoys caring for a large collection of indoor plants and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
Kimberly moved to New Zealand in 2022 with her Kiwi fiancé after 40 years in England. After 18 months in Blenheim, they decided to move to Christchurch to be near their family. Kimberly has a BA (Hons) in Business Administration and has always been interested in healthcare. She trained as a Bowen Therapist in the UK and ran a Bowen Therapy Clinic for 12 years before emigrating to New Zealand.
Always wanting to help people, she has a diverse background including volunteering, working in local government, charities, and healthcare in England and New Zealand.
She loves being part of the RESS family. Outside of work, she can be found lindy hop dancing with her fiancé and exploring her new home of Christchurch with her cavoodle, Buddy.
Hollie relocated from England to New Zealand 20 years ago. Throughout her time in New Zealand, she has lived in several towns and cities, ultimately making Christchurch her home for the past seven years.
Outside of work, Hollie enjoys creating wonderful memories with her daughter and family, savouring excellent coffee, and exploring the many attractions Christchurch has to offer.

Originally from the UK, Cleo has resided in New Zealand for over a decade. She shares her extensive experience from working in the public sector across emergency services and local government agencies.
Cleo greatly enjoys working with people and shares this love through various volunteer endeavours. Always seeking to develop and upskill, she is currently working towards completing further studies in health and wellbeing.
On weekends you can find her spending time with family and friends, enjoying quiet evenings reading, and savouring a good Sunday roast. Cleo also enjoys getting out and about by partaking in social rowing and enjoying Christchurch's many great walks.
Born and raised in Singapore, Jenn has called New Zealand home for over a decade. She holds bachelor's degrees in biological sciences and English from the University of Auckland, and a diverse professional portfolio which includes work in local government agencies as well as cosmetic chemistry and sustainability-focused product development.
She is currently studying towards a journalism qualification alongside her work with the RESS family.
Jenn is passionate about travel and food, and very rarely says no to opportunities for either. On weekends you can find her exploring Aotearoa's scenic offerings with her family, friends, and dog or curled up on the couch watching various TV series.
